NDT - Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity
PCTS use Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity technology to measure the transit time of a pulse between transducers placed on the surface of a body of concrete. The pulse velocity is then calculated using the measured path length through the concrete.
Introduction
PCTS apply UPV technology as it is totally non-destructive, quick to use and reflects the properties of the interior of a body of concrete. It is particularly valuable in circumstances where a considerable number of readings are required for the assessment of uniformity of hardened concrete.
Application
CTS Technicians are available to:
Determine concrete uniformity
Detect cracks and honeycombing
Estimate in-situ strength
Monitor strength development
Assess concrete deterioration
